We seek a dedicated, experienced full-time nanny for our infant son, born January 2025. We value a nurturing yet structured, educational, and screen-free environment for our child and are looking for a nanny who shares these values. The ideal candidate will have experience with infants, a strong interest in child development, and a commitment to becoming an integral part of our family long-term, including through the possible addition of a sibling. Requirements

  • 3+ years nanny or child development experience
  • Legal work authorization
  • Desire to work as a full-time W-2 employee
  • Vaccinated (COVID, TDAP, flu, MMR)
  • Non-smoker
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain/renew before start date
  • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Background check and references from previous families
  • Must love dogs! While no pet care is required, we seek a nanny who will genuinely enjoy the presence of our golden retriever.

Responsibilities

1) Care: 

  • Provide full-time care for our baby boy, including feeding, diapering, napping.
  • Follow the family’s guidelines for feeding, sleep training, and other important routines.

2) Child Development:

  • Engage in age-appropriate classes and activities to foster cognitive, social, and physical development, including tummy time, reading, music, and activities outside the home (e.g. stroller walks, library story time, play group, music classes). 
  • Maintain a strict no-screen policy, focusing on hands-on engagement and enriching interactions.
  • As child gets older, support positive behavior development and enforce rules and boundaries in a warm, firm, and consistent manner. 

3) Safety and Wellbeing: 

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment, including sterilizing bottles, baby laundry, and light tidying up related to the baby's needs.
  • Monitor the baby’s health and wellbeing, providing feedback to parents and taking appropriate action if needed.

4) Communication:

  • Communicate daily with parents regarding the baby’s activities, milestones, and any concerns.

About the Family

Dad is a lawyer, and Mom works for an education nonprofit. Both parents work from home in separate offices; Mom often has meetings outside the home so is gone a few hours per day. Both Mom and Dad travel occasionally (~1-2x/month) for work. We also have a friendly three-year-old golden retriever who is an integral part of our family.
