Beta Hat is a fast-growing boutique research consultancy based in San Francisco. We provide strategic guidance for the video games, emerging technology, and online media industries. Our work includes supporting go-to-market strategy for new products, guiding product development decisions, and deeply understanding customer sentiment.

To support our growth, we are looking for interns who are passionate about using their education to make a real-world impact in the video games industry. There is no better place to develop your career if you are interested in working at the intersection of video games and social sciences.

As an intern, you will be supporting the day-to-day operations of our Associates and Consultants. This is a largely remote position with opportunities to work in an office couple of days a week. There are two paid positions open.

What is expected of you:

• Be incredibly detail-oriented
• Have a passion for the business of video games, emerging technology, and pop culture
• Be able to come to the table with creative solutions to complex problems
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Be proactive and take initiative

Backgrounds we are looking for:

• Minimum 4-year degree in Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field, or in your senior year of a 4-year degree

What will set you apart:

• A passion for the business of video games, pop culture, and/or emerging technologies
• An eye for design
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Unafraid of crunching numbers
• Fluency in any of the following languages: German, French, Mandarin
