We are seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to join our team as a full time VP of Quality Assurance. This crucial role will involve overseeing all quality assurance processes. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in the pharma sector and a proven track record in quality assurance. The VP of Quality Assurance will work closely with various departments to ensure that our services meet and exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Enforce GMP compliance on a continuous basis
2. Ensure compliance with FDA.
3. Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
4. Oversee change controls, deviations, and vendor audits, ensuring all processes are carried out effectively and efficiently.
5. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality.
6. Identify areas of risk and develop risk mitigation strategies.
7. Manage relationships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and other external partners.
8. Perform audits including FDA, CRO and more. Generate and approve SOPs.
9. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the understanding of quality assurance processes across the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 12+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharma industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards including gCMP, ICH, CFR.
4. Proven experience with change controls, deviations, and vendor audits.
5. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a high-performing team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Experience working with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
9. In-depth knowledge of FDA quality guidelines
10. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
