Our client in New Jersey is a growing and well-established software company. They are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their Regression Testing team for their security and data backup products line. You'll be responsible for validating product reliability, usability, and performance through thorough manual testing in a Linux-based environment, and supporting automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Product Managers and Scrum teams to understand new features and develop corresponding test plans.
· Execute manual regression tests and exploratory testing across the application stack.
· Generate test data using databases, virtual machines, and file systems.
· Install and configure products in Linux environments.
· Support the automation team using tools like PyTest and Playwright.
· Perform compatibility testing with third-party updates and investigate customer-reported issues.
· Ensure high-quality releases through functional, integration, and system-level testing.
Requirements:
· 7–10+ years in QA for product companies, with hands-on experience in Linux environments.
· Strong experience in full-stack testing and developing test plans.
· Familiarity with storage and backup solutions.
· Bash or Python scripting skills; database experience including backups, encryption, and admin.
· Comfortable with REST APIs, Postman, and cURL.
· Experience with server/VM setup and Agile development.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Self-starter with the ability to work across global teams and independently.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
· Windows OS experience (3+ years)
· Knowledge of Jira, Xray, and Confluence
· Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Compensation: $140,000 - 165,000 base salary DOE, plus an excellent benefits package.
