Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Field Engineer to join their client's team in a dynamic construction environment. This role involves managing complex engineering projects and requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction practices. The position is based onsite, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects and ensure successful completion from planning to execution.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and develop a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.
• Develop and assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.
• Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring all prerequisites for starting construction activities are identified and completed.
• Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules and updates, communicating across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.
• Monitor and participate daily in the field construction process, providing layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements, and obtaining confirmations from the design engineer as needed.
• Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and performance records, maintaining accurate payment records.
• Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution, providing accurate and factual assessments of project performance.
• Participate in change orders and claims management.
• Develop and manage relationships with owners, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment by enforcing procedures, maintaining project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety and construction best practices.
• Identify and resolve changing site conditions or other impacts during the planning of the work.
• Coordinate and attend pre-bid and construction meetings.
• Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities.
• Assist in preparing crossing applications and work plans, assuring quality control by subcontractors.
• Manage and submit project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution
• Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and OSHA requirements.
• MUST HAVE 7+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
• Proficiency in project controls techniques ( basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts).
• A strong working knowledge of critical path method and resource scheduling is preferred.
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic, highly motivated, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Required Work Hours

1st shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Additional Details

Expected annual salary range for this job is $100,000-$160,000, depending upon experience.
