Job Description

The Cast Iron Group, a hospitality group that encompasses The Cookery, The Rickhouse, Dashi, and Ponysaurus Brewing Co., is growing its small-yet-mighty marketing department with the addition of a Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator will oversee and execute the group’s social media presence, engagement and event promotion. 

The ideal candidate does not necessarily need expert skills or multiple years of experience in the marketing field. We are looking for someone who loves social media, the community it fosters, and the analytical side to the apps. We want someone who is hungry to learn and improve upon their skills, and who is passionate about creative promotional work. The Cast Iron Group  Social Media Coordinator  is responsible for social media content creation, coordination, and analytics for all businesses in the Cast Iron Group family. 

The  Social Media Coordinator  should have: 

  • a proactive, self-motivated attitude, focusing on a continual improvement of current social media logistics and impact. 
  • 1-3 years of related social media experience. 
  • stellar writing skills and the ability to express thoughts concisely. 
  • a thorough knowledge of social media platform functionalities and capabilities. 
  • a commitment to punctuality for any meetings, deadlines and other time commitments.
  • unrelenting attention to detail. 
  • a passion for analytics, planning, organization and efficient systems. 
  • an understanding of how to interpret marketing and social media data to create effective and impactful changes to strategy 
  • professionalism and a positive attitude when communicating with external and internal stakeholders.

The Social Media Coordinator shall carry out the following:  

SOCIAL MEDIA - assemble social media post content, create value for Cast Iron Group businesses through consistent and timely online engagement, and monitor related online communities and businesses. 

CAMPAIGNS - coordination and assistance of event advertising through online platforms. 

PAID ADS - setting up, monitoring, and assessing the success of paid advertising on social media platforms. 

ENGAGEMENT - being the first to understand the newest trends on platforms and actively engaging with our communities to craft the most impactful online presence. 

This is a hybrid/in-person role that will need to be able to work from our Durham, NC offices.
