We are looking for a candidate for the southern California eye care market that is interested in a medical sales career. The ideal candidate has two or more years of sales experience, knows how to work independently, and is success driven. In this role, the Regional Business Consultant is responsible for acquiring new business as well as managing our current customers. Activities would include typical sales functions such as making cold and warm sales calls, presenting to doctors and office managers, attending industry meetings and events, among other things. The RBC may receive qualified leads that come to the company, through conventions or web inquiries, as well as through your own market research, such as through web searches, and other means. The selected candidate would initially receive a thorough on-site training covering a full range of knowledge including industry, anatomy, ocular disease, and product education as well as continuous ongoing training. We are not a "sales training” organization, per se, and candidates are expected to know how to sell - however we will coach through all phases of the sales cycle. You will report to the Director of US Sales who has over 30 years of leadership experience in the eye care industry. The successful candidate must reside near the Orange County or Inland Empire area and is responsible for sales and account management activity for southern California (Orange County, Inland Empire and Coachella Valley) as well as southern Nevada (Las Vegas), however travel to these areas depends upon leads created and events scheduled by you. Compensation is competitive for those entering the medical sales field and the annual income on-target earnings is $75k or more depending upon experience (includes Base + Incentives) plus car allowance ($7,200/yr), cell phone and business-related expenses. This position is as a full-time field-based position and the compensation includes a top medical insurance and benefits program.
