Matrix Providers is hiring a Psychologist – Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at FE Warren Air force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Employment Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday

The Psychologist – Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) must have and meet the following:
Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychology Association (APA) accredited psychology program.
Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in professional psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Certifications: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course.
Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions. The HCW shall have at least two (2) years professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic.
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
Psychologist – Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) Core Job Duties:
Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, screeners, and collateral sources as appropriate. Psychological testing may be available for use but is not typically conducted by this position.
Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
Assesses and provides intervention for individuals with a wide range of chronic medical conditions, and behavioral health issues affecting medical conditions to include assessment and disposition of beneficiaries with acute and chronic risk.
Performs PCBH biopsychosocial evaluations in a primary care setting using expert knowledge of clinical and clinical health psychology. Provides brief, targeted psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
Consults with primary care providers to select, approve, and document treatment priorities in SMART goal format. Serves as the authority on primary care psychology for the clinic. Educates clinic staff on the principles of primary care behavioral health via trainings and briefings.
Consults with specialty mental health clinic staff on matters including, but not limited to: evaluation, clinical care, risk management, and referral.
Monitors, evaluates, and approves use of community mental health resources for Primary Care.
Develops, implements, and evaluates professional development activities, coordinates inter and intra-departmental in-service training on PCBH related topics.
Performs a variety of quality management/quality assurance (QM/QA) duties to meet Military Treatment Facility accreditation requirements. Evaluates clinical records and monitors all objective instrument administration and scoring for quality assurance.
Maintains appropriate documentation of patient care in accordance with current unit and hospital standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or Medical Group Instructions (MDGIs), as well as current DoD, DHA PCBH, Federal and state regulations.
Supports military medical and readiness processes including but not limited to the Disability Evaluation System (DES), Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB), Duty Limiting Conditions (DLCs), as well as special monitoring and military related clearance processes for the Personnel Reliability Assurance Program (PRAP), special duty positions, deployments, and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) in accordance with current unit and hospital standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or Medical Group Instructions (MDGIs), as well as current DoD, DHA PCBH, Federal and state regulations.
Maintains performance and conduct in accordance with current unit and hospital SOPs and/or MDGIs as well as current DoD, DHA, Federal and state regulations, and professional code of ethics.
Performs all other similar duties as assigned
