\n Job Summary:
\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Pediatric Critical Care team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill pediatric patients with a wide range of single and multi-organ system illnesses. This role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration. The PA will function as a clinician, consultant, mentor, educator, and contributor to clinical research in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. \n\nJob Duties \n\n

\n\t
• Provide direct medical care to critically ill pediatric patients under the supervision of an attending physician. \n\t
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop differential diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate and implement treatment plans. \n\t
• Perform procedures as appropriate, including but not limited to central line placement, intubation, arterial line placement, and lumbar puncture. \n\t
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and participate in daily rounds with the multidisciplinary care team. \n\t
• Act as a clinical consultant and mentor to nursing staff, medical students, and other members of the healthcare team. \n\t
• Promote and model evidence-based practices and foster professional development within the team. \n\t
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care needs. \n\t
• Participate in the development and delivery of formal and informal educational programs for peers and staff. \n\t
• Participate in research initiatives, clinical trials, and quality improvement projects related to pediatric critical care. \n\t
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings to support evidence-based care and innovation in practice. \n

\n Requirements \n\n

• Physician Assistant education, certification by nationally recognized certifying board; Licensure by the Texas Medical Board \n\t
• BLS; PALS; NRP \n\t
• Minimum Experience: Acute Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Critical Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Experience with Arterial line placement, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Endotracheal Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, PICC Placement \n
