The Physical Security Coordinator - Americas will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the physical security strategy and operations across the Americas region. This includes promoting the safety and security of employees, assets, and facilities, and coordinating with global and regional stakeholders to address security risks and mitigate threats. The coordinator will be instrumental in implementing and continuously improving physical security programs to support the organization’s business objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Strategy Implementation Execute the region’s physical security strategy in alignment with global security initiatives and business goals. Implement policies, procedures, and best practices for physical security. Help identify gaps in physical security measures to address emerging risks and threats. Risk Assessment & Security Planning Assist the Director, Physical Security and EHS Lead with conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures to protect people, property, and information. Implement comprehensive security plans, including emergency response protocols, evacuation procedures, and continuity planning. Assist with security audits and inspections to assess effectiveness and compliance with standards. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Serve as the point of contact for security-related incidents, crises, and investigations in the Americas region. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR, Facilities, IT, Legal) and external vendors to ensure effective security initiatives. Provide regular updates and reports on regional security performance, incidents, and improvements. Training & Awareness Assist with delivering physical security training and awareness programs for employees. Promote a culture of security awareness by engaging employees in initiatives and continuous improvement. Incident Management & Crisis Response Assist the Director with responding to and investigating security incidents and breaches. Ensure timely reporting and resolution of incidents. Assist with post-incident analyses and recommendations for improvements. Candidate Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5-8 years of experience in physical security or related roles. Proven experience supporting multi-site security in a corporate environment. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of physical security technologies and risk management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making. Discretion and confidentiality in sensitive matters. Additional Requirements Ability to travel up to 20% as needed. Flexibility to respond to incidents during off-hours.
