Do You Like Driving?
Here's an opportunity that is a good part-time or 2nd job. And you get to be your own boss! Retirees, moms, students, everyone with a reliable car, drivers license and insurance is welcome!
You need to be ve available 2-6 am, daily. You'll start by picking up your stack of newspapers at the Journal-World distribution center in the North Lawrence mall, near where you get your driver's license. You roll and bag the newspapers at home or in your car, and then deliver them to your printed list of addresses (which stays mostly the same night after night, so you get used to it). You get paid for each newspaper you deliver, so you choose how fast to go (although our men and women in blue may have something to say about going too fast).
No contact is requred with customers. You don't have to collect money, or sign up subscribers. You really have very little contact with anyone, so if you like driving your car, and the peaceful, empty streets of Lawrence sound like good company, this may be a great job for you!
