Role : Mainframe Project Manager

Location : Remote (PST Time Zone)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Mainframe-related projects , ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
• Oversee Mainframe modernization, migration, and maintenance projects, ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Apply PMP project management principles to define project scope, milestones, risk management plans, and issue resolution strategies.
• Track and monitor project progress using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Manage vendor relationships, resource allocation, and budgeting for Mainframe projects.
• Provide regular status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and quality assurance standards in Mainframe environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP Certification is mandatory .
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management , specifically in Mainframe environments (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, etc.).
• Experience with Mainframe modernization, migration, or decommissioning projects .
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies .
• Proficiency in project tracking tools (JIRA, MS Project, ServiceNow, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
