Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens job in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

• Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings, nights

Seeking  one highly qualified APP (NP or PA)with strong emergency medicine experience to support a  busy, high-acuity emergency department . The facility sees approximately 55,000 patients annually , with daily volumes of ~155 patients , including ~30 pediatric cases .

• Shifts per Month: 10–12 (non-consecutive shifts permitted)
• Monthly Commitment: 60–120 hours/month
• Shift Types:
  • 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
    (All shifts will convert to 12-hour shifts soon due to summer volume increase)
• Avg. Patients per Provider: 1.55–1.7 patients/hour
• Admission Rate: 25%
• Physician Coverage: 42 hours/day

Provider Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of emergency medicine experience (2 years preferred)
  • Level 2 trauma center experience or higher preferred
  • Prior HCA experience highly preferred (due to strict performance metrics)
• Licensure: Must be fully licensed (location-specific license assumed)
• File: Must be  clean for temporary privileges
• Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work  all shift types
