We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in the food and food processing industry, based in Austin, Minnesota, United States. The role is for an Instructional Designer who will be tasked with creating visually-driven training materials for new employees in our manufacturing plants. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to our goal of creating a highly effective and inclusive training environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement visually-oriented training materials for new employees in our manufacturing plants.
• Utilize tools such as Adobe Articulate and Rise to create engaging and interactive learning content.
• Ensure the training materials are easy to understand and cater to our diverse employee population, many of whom speak different languages.
• Collaborate with team members to gather information, understand their training needs and incorporate them into the learning materials.
• Continually update and improve training materials based on feedback and changes in processes or procedures.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) - Oracle and Learning Platform - Intertek Alchemy to manage and distribute learning materials.
• Draw on previous experience in a food manufacturing environment to create relevant and practical training materials.
• Utilize skills in Spanish translation to cater to our Spanish speaking employees.
• Implement strategies to improve the learning experience for employees and increase their understanding and retention of information.
• Create and maintain documentation of the training materials and strategies implemented.

• Minimum of five years of experience in Instructional Design or related role within the Food & Food Processing industry.

• Proficiency in designing e-Learning modules and courseware.

• Demonstrable skills in Adobe Captivate, Adobe Flash, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Articulate Studio.

• Experience with Blackboard or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Ability to design, document, and implement instructional strategies.

• Familiarity with the manufacturing processes within the Food & Food Processing industry.

• Proficiency in Spanish translation is preferred.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing company environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is preferred
