Job Description

Our firm is seeking an experienced In-House to join its executive leadership team. Our In-House Counsel will oversee all legal matters, compliance, and risk management for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel to the designated team members on various matters such as new and existing laws and legal rights.
  • Assess and conduct risk management and respond to critical issues as they arise.
  • Draft, manage and negotiate vendor contracts as necessary.
  • Oversee all corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Manage litigation, employment law matters, and intellectual property protection.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international laws applicable to the business.
  • Oversee and manage insurance coverages and compliance with California bar requirements.
  • Interpret and implement applicable state and federal laws, rules, and policies applicable to the Firm
  • Develop, implement, and review Firm regulations, policies, and procedures, and identify the need for policy development or change to protect the Firm’s legal interests.
  • Research and analyze proposed or implemented laws and regulations that might affect the Firm.

Qualifications

  • California licensed attorney in good standing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as in-house/general counsel
  • Strong expertise in corporate governance, commercial contracts, risk management, and employment law.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proven track record of high level of ethical standards in all dealings.
  • Must be able to work on-site , Monday through Friday
