The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Associate is to provide guests with an excellent room experience while providing friendly, attentive, and timely service and through ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet high standards of cleanliness and are properly presented. Duties include cleaning and maintaining hotel guest rooms, public areas, and laundry per established protocols such as removal of linen, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, glass, mirrors, dusting, polishing furniture, replacing light bulbs, remaking beds, replenishing supplies, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning rugs and upholstery, using approved cleaning chemicals, operating and maintaining storage closets and carts, sorting laundry, using laundering equipment, making rounds to ensure cleanliness, upholding quality standards, training new associates, performing deep cleaning and preventative maintenance, protecting hotel and guest property, following safety policies, and reporting issues. Flexible availability including weekends and holidays is required. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs occasionally, bending, squatting, walking, and standing for the duration of the shift. Preferred prior experience includes hotel housekeeping or cleaning and customer service. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
