Responsibilities

As a part of our dedicated team, Drivers are responsible for operating SiteOne vehicles to deliver world class service and products to our customers. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, in addition to working with teammates to ensure the branch is operating successfully. When not driving, the Driver at this branch can expect to work in the warehouse.

What you’ll do:

• Load and unload products for deliveries
• Make deliveries and ensure product arrives undamaged
• Operate vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
• Perform job duties within our safety guidelines. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lifting and managing heavy objects
  • Working in all weather conditions (drivers must be prepared to work in hot and cold temperatures).
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance
• Assist in pulling orders, receiving freight, conducting inventory cycle counts, maintaining the cleanliness of the store and other general duties while not driving

Estimated starting pay:

• $18.00-$20.00 hourly
• Bonus opportunities

Qualifications

• Clean and valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to get a DOT medical card to drive a truck >10,000LBS
• Must be willing and able to work in the warehouse or at the counter roughly 50% of the time
• Must be able to read and write to record and maintain daily records
• Must be able to perform regular bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Must be ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

What will help you stand out:

• Prior delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of landscaping and/or irrigation products
• Electric pallet jack and/or forklift experience
• Bilingual proficiency (conversational abilities) in English and Spanish
