Zoom Room Dog Training is seeking a dog trainer to work at both its Winter Park and Longwood locations. All interested candidates, even those without professional dog training experience, are encouraged to apply.

A Dog Trainer is required to perform both front desk and dog training duties. The front desk role is the front line towards a great Zoom Room experience.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

• Teach approved Zoom Room script based curriculum in group classes and private lessons, effectively teaching the content and managing the time.
• Evaluate dog and human skills versus a list of behaviors and make recommendations.
• Develop training plans and offer assistive tools for clients
• Interact with clients by phone, email, text, or in person according to Zoom Room customer service protocol. Be friendly, cheerful, and helpful!
• Book classes & private lessons using a computer web based POS scheduling system or tablet application
• Conduct orientations sharing Zoom Room's positive rewards training philosophy and flexible scheduling system, making appropriate suggestions for classes
• Identify needs of current and prospective clients, offering training and retail solutions.
• Stock and merchandise product per standards and take inventory as needed
• Ensure business readiness daily by cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and stocking retail area, gym, and bathrooms.
• Set-up gym floor before and after each appointment or class, including moving and placing agility equipment
• Answer inquiries in person, by phone, email, or text
• Ensure compliance to vaccine requirements, contacting clients or veterinarian offices as needed
• Keep accurate client database, noting any issues and notifying a manager immediately through internal POS system
• Charge out clients appropriately and keep accurate cash counts
• Complete opening and/or closing duties depending on shift

• Competitive wages based on your knowledge and performance:
  • While in training earn $15/hr.
  • Once certified to teach classes earn $17/hr plus hourly bonuses of up to $5 depending on duties performed.
  • Senior Trainers earn $18/hr plus hourly bonuses of up to $5 depending on duties performed.
  • Certified Professional Dog Trainers earn $19/hr plus hourly bonuses of up to $5 depending on duties performed.

Essential job requirements:

• Move up to 50 pounds
• Clean, sweep, vacuum, and mop
• Speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus!
• Communicate effectively with clients in a noisy group environment
• Operate computers, tablets, and telephones using web browsers and applications

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis until a job offer is accepted. Candidates will be contacted by text to schedule a phone interview, and if successful, an in person interview at the Winter Park location. Ideal start date is around March 6th.
