About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference in emergency response? As a Dispatcher at Acadian Companies, you will be at the heart of our operations, receiving and dispatching both emergency and non-emergency requests for ground and air ambulance services. Your role is crucial in ensuring that help reaches those in need swiftly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, you will:

• Assist ground and air resources for emergency and non-emergency responses.
• Coordinate first responder notifications to fire departments and other agencies as required.
• Receive and keypunch requests for ground and air response.
• Document daily activity meticulously.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions using Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD).
• Train new Communication Center employees as requested.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (preferred).
• Completion of EMD certification (required).

Physical and Environmental Demands

This role involves:

• Standing, walking, and sitting for varying amounts of time.
• Using hands for various tasks.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels typical of an office environment.
• Working in various environmental conditions, including wet, humid, and outdoor settings.
