Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA Health System is the fourth largest employer in Amarillo, with a medical staff of more than 400 physicians and 3,000 employees. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.

• Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
• Clerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical records.
• Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by the physician.

Job Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hire
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous similar clinic experience

• Competent use of personal computers and software programs, including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point)

• Previous experience with EMR systems
• One year experience in physician’s practice
