Job Description

This position is a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders in crisis. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons in behavioral health urgent care setting. All patients are voluntary and perform their own ADL’s. No physical or chemical restraints. Utilizes nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and responding to crises on a timely basis. Complies with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies. Monitors consumers and takes appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications. Completes QA activities as requested and participates in the QA process. Communicates effectively with the team. Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing (RN required). Must meet education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition. Prefer one year of psych nursing experience and experience in behavioral health nursing. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage required. Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications.
