Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Forest Grove. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in receiving and matching invoices, account coding, preparation of disbursements, and accounts payable-related record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and internal payment requests: match, verify pricing/discounts, and obtain approvals.
• Code invoices to the general ledger, determine payment dates, and input into the AP system; maintain unpaid invoice files.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and special checks; route for signatures.
• Maintain payment records: attach check copies, stamp invoices "Paid," and file.
• Generate and maintain AP reports: vouchers, aging, disbursements, and journals.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
• Limited need for independent problem analysis or decision-making; limited but distinct organizational impact.
• Responsible for planning and goal setting for own work.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience with SAP is plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
