At Edelman Social Impact & Sustainability, we partner with our clients to uncover and define their purpose, create action plans around it, help embed it internally and externally, and bring it to life. Our team has an exciting opportunity for an Account Supervisor. While there's no "typical" day in this Account Supervisor role, we are looking for a team member who can roll with the punches and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this role requires someone who is invigorated by challenges, passionate about issues impacting people and planet, motivated by complex subject matter, able to think critically and create tailored solutions. Responsibilities: Support day-to-day account management for SIS clients, overseeing operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence. Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively. Build relationships with internal teams and business partners to meet client needs. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of sustainability and social impact trends and share knowledge with others. Produce industry research, benchmarking and analysis to provide insights into business opportunities and sustainable impact. Contribute to and craft strategic plans and recommendations to progress clients' corporate social impact and sustainability programs, commitments and communications. Contribute to and craft corporate social impact and sustainability messaging and narratives, tailored to a variety of internal and external stakeholder audiences. Demonstrate experience in thought leadership, executive positioning, and stakeholder engagement programs. Demonstrate experience in integrated communications campaigns, media relations outreach and planning, and social/digital communications and content. Strong writing ability and demonstrated experience drafting and developing written points of view and presentations. Demonstrate experience in developing and/or executing integrated, multi-channel communications plans. Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching, and providing feedback. Participate in new business efforts including research, proposal and pitch preparation. Basic Qualifications: Have at least 4 years of full-time experience in communications or public relations. Hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Have previous professional services, agency or consultancy experience. Have experience and interest in corporate social impact and sustainability strategy and issues. Have strong knowledge of more than one of the following: corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility, responsible business, brand purpose, social impact program and/or platform building, climate change, DEI, ESG, partnership development and/or management, strategic philanthropy, stakeholder engagement, global development in a communications setting. Have a solid grasp of basic public relations and social media tools and how they are used. Possess solid research, writing, and editing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; demonstrated ability to use PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Demonstrate excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Possess solid time management skills to balance your workload across account teams and able to deliver quality work to deadlines. Collaborative, curious, and adaptable to change. Demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to ideate on the spot and actively participate in group discussions. Be results-and-solutions-oriented. Have a strong work ethic and positive, collaborative attitude. $68,000 - $96,000 a year An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
