Position Title: 1st Shift Operations Supervisor

Wage Range $70K-80K

Responsible for the safe efficient processing operations of first shift processing and packing.

• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations to workers. 
• Complete production schedule and all nightly operations paperwork. 
• Facilitates training and review process of all 1st shift employees. 
• Issues oral and written instructions. 
• Communicates with USDA inspector. 
• Follows and enforces all QA rules & product specifications.
• Work with Human Resources on annual employee performance reviews

• High school diploma required. 
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English. 
• Bilingual Spanish –Preferred  
• Five years of production experience in a processing facility required.  Experience in a food-manufacturing environment is preferred– More than three years of experience in management/supervisorial role is preferred. 
• Understanding of the unique equipment in a meat production plant. 
• Must be able to effectively lead, coach, train, and motivate people to follow established standards. Must be able to promote collaboration and enthusiasm in their team. 
• Must be able to effectively monitor the performance of direct reports and provide feedback to improve performance. 
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills. 
• Must have the ability to successfully coach, train and follow up with team to ensure goals are met. 

Reports to Operations Manager

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

·       Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.

·       Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.

·       401(k):company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.

·       Base salaryrange of $70K-$80K.

·       Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
